remove the word portrait

After taking a picture in Portrait mode the results I get from others and myself have the watermark printed on the top left hand corner. How do I remove this?

Hello leofromlafayette,

Thanks for posting on Apple Support Communities. What you are seeing in the top left corner when taking photos with Portrait Mode is not a watermark. It says Portrait in the top left corner to help you identify which photos in your camera roll were taken in Portrait Mode. The word Portrait is located in a black border above the photo and is not part of the photo you have taken.

This article can be very helpful with tips and tricks on using Portrait Mode. Take Portrait mode photos with your iPhone camera.
