Copy/Paste not working in Gmail - iOS 13.5.1

Hello all,

I just updated to iOS 13.5.1 on my iPhone X and am no longer able to copy/paste text using Gmail. The hand gestures work fine (select text, copy, paste), however, the problem is that when I paste the selected text, nothing happens. I’ve restarted the phone several times, I’ve updated the Gmail app, I’ve done all the suggestions I could find here in the forums (short of a factory reset) and still am not able to copy/paste. Does anyone know of a fix? I prefer using the Gmail app, so suggestions to switch is the least preferred option. Thanks for your help!

I'm having this problem on one phone, and not the other. Both are XS max running 13.5.1

One can copy paste from gmail to gmail, the other cannot.

Seriously Apple, you used to be so good at QA before launching an update.

Hi, I had the same issue but I deleted the gmail app and reinstalled it and that fixed it.

You contact google or look at their support site, since their app isn't functioning, has nothing to do with the ios update.

Check and see if google has an update.

i’m having this problem since updating to ios 13.6

copy paste

works on iphone XsMax

does NOT work Xs

Deleting the app and reinstalling fixed it for my XR too

I had same issue; clipboard did not ‘paste‘ for Gmail app. (Even as Paste function worked fine on all other apps).

Deleting the Gmail App and reinstalling it resolved the issue.
