Company owned devices
I support many iOS devices and have an iPad locked by an ex-employee. I have the company invoice that has the serial number of the iPad. What can I do to get it unlocked?

There is a RUMOR that if you can take those devices, along with the paperwork proving that they are yours, into an apple store they can wipe them for you. This is not something apple documents that they can do and is based on users reporting here that they have experienced that.
Depending on where you are your apple stores may not be open at the moment.
You may also want to discuss with them options going forward that can allow you to keep better control or avoid situations like this in the future.
Thanks. I'll call the nearest Apple Store. Any new devices are put into an MDM product and controlled by a central ID.
