Do an update to activate My iPhone

Hi I have my old iPhone 7 that I tried unlocking myself . I restarted the phone completely. And know it gives me a message that says .“ Unable to Activate , an update is required to activate your phone . “ I need help!

Activate I am not able to start up my iPhone 7 because it keeps telling me "Unable to Activate" "An update is required to activate your iPhone" and I tried to go to apple support but they weren't much of a help. I don't know what to do.
