How to check for updates to firmware and Boot ROM.

I have a Mid 2010 Mac Pro with an SSD and a Sapphire video card. Can I check to see if the firmware and Boot ROM are up to date? My hardware Overview says:

Number of Processors: 1

Total Number of Cores: 4

L2 Cache (per Core): 256 KB

L3 Cache: 8 MB

Boot ROM Version: MP51.0085.B00

Mac Pro, macOS 10.13

Hi, Bob1177, the only way to check to see if your firmware and boot Rom are up to date would be to install Mojave, which will require you do a firmware Update to install it, which includes, when prompted, holding down your Power button when you hear a long tone. If you need it, you will see a message on the screen. If you have already done that, then your firmware update is up to date. My Boot room is the same as yours so it's up to date. Just to let you know, your Mac Pro can go up to High Sierra or Mojave officially.

There is another way to do it, but we're not allowed to discuss it on these forums as it's not approved by Apple
