Apple watch not unpaired properly

I have an Apple Watch paired with my phone, and was trying to unpair it. During the process, it gave me an error. It had not unpaired properly, and there might be problems. According to my iPhone, it is unpaired but, according to my Watch, it is paired. ALSO, I can not access the Apple Watch, due to security features on my phone, it has a setting where you need to wear the watch, and also unlock your phone. It doesn't detect the unlock part, because it is not paired. I tried removing it from account, but it didn't work. Please help, as I just got this and I don't want to have wasted my money....

Hello stupefy100.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. If I'm understanding correctly, you are having some trouble with unpairing your Apple Watch. I will be glad to assist.

Let's try the following steps from:

Reset the passcode on your Apple Watch

  1. "Put your watch on its charger and keep it there until you complete these steps.
  2. Press and hold the side button until you see Power Off.*
  3. Firmly press the Power Off slider, then lift your finger.
  4. Tap Erase all content and settings.
  5. Wait for the process to finish, then set up your Apple Watch again. When asked, restore from a backup.

"

If the issue persists, Contact Apple for support and service

Cheers.
