iMessage apps are not working

My iMessage apps are not working. I’ll open iMessage, and when I try to click on #images, GamePigeon, Animoji or any other iMessage app, there is a small outline around the app, but it does not open. The only apps that do work are the App Store, and Other Apps thing(the one with the three dots). The only way I can use them now is if I search them up in the iMessage App Store, and click open. I have tried everything from updating to the latest version of iOS to restarting the phone itself, yet the issue still persists.
