Why do accounts keep requiring one-time passcodes??
When I sign in to my accounts on Amazon, my insurance company, and others, they say my computer isn't recognized and either send a one-time passcode to my iPhone or ask for more information. This behavior was never seen until IIRC one of the Sierras, and it persists. I have tried every combination of settings in Privacy & Security that I can think of, and in Preferences, but I can't get the OS to allow the device to be registered so I don't have to do this every time I sign in.
This is happening on all three of my Macs but not on my iPhone or iPads.
In addition, on one of my Macs, when of these one-time passcodes is sent via Messages to my iPhone, Safari offers to fill in the passcode field on the web page with the code sent to the iPhone. On the other two Macs, this doesn't happen.
