Will Sierra be useable on MacBook Pro 15" early 2018? It presently runs on El Capitan.

If it's running El-cap, then it is definitely NOT a 2018 MBP.

The 2018 MBP shipped with High Sierra. It can not run anything lower than High Sierra.
