iforgot.apple.com no longer gives the option to reset security questions

I walked through the process listed in this article, but iforgot.apple.com no longer gives the option to reset security questions: it automatically enters the "reset password" flow. Has anyone figured out how to reset them now?

Called Apple Support to find out more. Turns out security questions are not recoverable 2 weeks after you've turned on 2-factor authentication.

This suits my purposes perfectly: I wanted to change the questions for security reasons because the account is being passed on to another manager. I knew they weren't being used anymore, but I wanted to make sure any record of my answers could not be recovered in case 2-factor auth was turned off.

I was correct that the option was missing: I tried from the "forgot information" flow on the computer, on an iOS device, and from my Account Settings UI, and it was nowhere to be found. It truly wasn't among the Security > Edit options. I didn't know that it was hidden on purpose due to 2-factor authentication.

You reset them by signing into your Apple ID account https://appleid.apple.com/#!&page=signin. But, have you already been unsuccessful in answering your security settings satisfactorily? If yes, see:

If you forgot the answers to your Apple ID security questions https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201485

Now, if you have been unsuccessful in answering your security questions satisfactorily. So see Security and your Apple ID https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201303

This document says “without proof of your identity via security questions and other carefully selected criteria, Apple Support can't help you reset a password or perform any other actions on your account.”

Thus, if you have been unable to answer your security questions successfully, we can do nothing to help you, except to mention that Apple support might help you if you have an extenuating circumstance (e.g., you have your receipt for your purchase of a pertinent device from an authorized Apple seller with its serial number on it). If you want to contact Apple Support to discuss any possible extenuating circumstance, see the support options below. Alternatively, if an Apple Store is open in your area, then you can go there to deal with your extenuating circumstance. You also can make a genius-bar appointment (https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/) if you want.
