I've just bought a MacBook Air from the apple store but was gifted an AppleCare plan for it. How do I now register the AppleCare to the MacBook please?
I see that when I go to my support it offers the option of buying an AppleCare plan for my new MacBook, but there doesn't seem to be any option to register a plan that is already purchased

You will need to contact Apple because - due to copyright concerns among other things - the only approved way to purchase Applecare is either from Apple or an authorized reseller - either will automatically register it for your device. You can no longer register it separately.
