I want to transfer my whatsapp account from one iphone 6S to another iphone 5S with a change of number also. Both phones share the same apple ID. I have backed up my whatsapp but when I tried the change number feature I could not restore from the icloud backup so I stopped the process. How can I do this and keep all my chats?

Is the WhatsApp not restoring or you can't restore from a backup in general?

I could not select the restore function, it was grey and it said "no backup"
