Connecting to my user's space on another computer (on the network)

From my MBP, prior to Catalina, I was able to sign into my user on our home MacMini (on my Home network) and have access to all my files. In fact, I used to be able to sign into the MacMini via the Root User and have access to all the different Users on the MacMini. I can't seem to do that now in Catalina. If I click on my User on the MacMini, the Desktop Folder, Documents Folder, as well as other folders, are unaccessible. What has changed?

I just came across the solution which was posted elsewhere in the Apple Discussion:

Computer 1 (file sharer): Disable and re-enable File Sharing under Settings > Sharing. Then reboot.

Computer 2 (file consumer): Either reboot, or force quit/relaunch Finder, then browse to your normally shared directories.
