Transfering files from PC to Mac Pro

why is my file not counting down in the transfer? It stays at the same time remaining.

A really big file will cause the down-counter to pause until that file is finished.


If there is a Bad Block on the source disk, it can take as long as a quarter-minute per Bad Block to re-read while attempting to get good data. If it can not get good data, it may stall on that one file.
