iPhone 6s SIM CARD after falling into pool

Hi, my phone recently fell into a pool, but it stayed less than 5 seconds. For now it isn’t working, but I was wondering if the SIM card would still function in a new phone, even though it went in water?

SIM issues Hi! I dropped my phone in some water last night and now my SIM card doesn’t seem to be connecting to my phone. I put the SIM in my moms phone (Galaxy S8) and it seems to work fine for hers but not in mine? I let it sit all night and cleaned it with alcohol this morning but still nothing.
