Gymkit Connection Issues

My watch previously worked flawlessly on the Technogym treadmills at my gym. My gym just recently opened back up after the Covid-19 situation and my watch paired flawlessly the first day like I was used to. Next day and thereafter it will beep like it’s pairing, the treadmill will wake like it recognizes the connection, but then my watch just says waiting for like 30+ seconds and then I get a dreadful “Unable to Connect” screen. Help!!! Whenever I use the workout app without the connection my mileage can be off by like a half mile or more by the end. Hoping someone out there has had this issue and fixed it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for asking about your Apple Watch here in the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you are having trouble pairing your watch to a specific type of treadmill. We'd be happy to help!

The first thing we would recommend would be for you to restart your Apple Watch: .

If the issue continues after restarting, check for--and install--any available updates to the watchOS software: Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support, as well for the companion iPhone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. You may need to update iOS before you can update watchOS.

If the treadmill has a third party app, check for--and install--any available updates for that as well: Update apps or use automatic downloads - Apple Support.
