apple TV app - black screen
Mac OS 10.15.5 (latest) I attempted to use the Apple TV app on the computer for the first time. Rented a movie. Audio played fine, but the screen was completely black. Help. Could not watch!

Did you try to watch it on your MacBook Pro’s built-in screen? If you tried to watch it on a TV or external monitor, then the issue may be with the connection to that secondary screen. Black screen during movie playback can be related to HDCP errors, but that shouldn’t happen on a good built-in screen.

Thanks for the suggestion. The TV Mirror worked perfectly - the TV was showing exactly what was on my computer, which was working perfectly, all except for the blacked out movie video (audio was audible). I rebooted the computer.....nothing. Then 2 hours later after giving up I went back to the Apple TV app., on a lark pressed play on the video again, and voila - the video showed up. Any ideas, in case this should happen again?

Streaming Issues:
When streaming, inaccessibility or low-speed are likely the culprits when nothing is showing up but the audio.
