Corrupt Harddrive Macbook Pro 2008

MacBook Pro 15 in 2008

OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

Processor 2.4 Ghz intel core 2 Duo

Memory 4 GB

I have been cleaning up the computer.

When I restart, it would shut off 1/2 way through

Tried Booting in Safe mode but same thing happened

Booted in recovery mode

Harddrive failed first aid process

When I went to reinstall OS in recovery mode it states OSX cannot be installed on "Recovery HD"

Any suggestions?
