Face ID

Has anyone had trouble setting up Face ID ? It keeps telling me move the phone higher/lower repeatedly!!? Any help is appreciated.

iPhone X, iOS 13

See if you have a case that covers part of the “notch” at the top of the phone. It contains the IR scanners that map your face.
