kernel panic reason? iMac 2017 21.5

hi, I've had a few kernel panics recently (at least since the last 2 Catalina updates). I'm guessing they are due to a software issue ? since most of the time they happen while using (for a long time) photoshop or lightroom (I normally close all programs and use one of these programs at the time since I only have 8 gb of ram). If there is another thread regarding these issues, please let me know..... (or what I can do other than change the equipment im using

Try booting into safe mode to see if the panics persist How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

I suspect you've got a gpu issue.
