Numbers, Pages prompt me to download fonts that I can't download, disable or delete.

MacOS 10.14.6, Numbers 10.0, Pages 10.0.

There are four fonts (LiHei Pro, LiSong Pro, YuKyokasho, YuKyokasho Yoko) that Numbers and Pages prompt me to download every single time I launch them. (It's actually six different prompts, and it doesn't make a difference whether I click Skip or Download — I get the same prompts the next time I launch.) The fonts are listed in Font Book, greyed out. The download button doesn't function, and the Remove command is greyed out.

These are not system fonts. They're on the "available for download" list for Catalina (and I'm assuming Mojave). My question is, where do I download them from? I do not want or need these fonts, I just want to download them so that Numbers and Pages stop harassing me.

A little more detail: originally this problem was worse. Both apps was forcing me to click 58 prompts referencing about 35 fonts. Through lots of googling I found I could open and install them from the location below. However, for the four remaining fonts no importable files exist anywhere within either my system or user Library folder.

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/ATS.framework/Versions/A/Support/FontSubsets/

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Hello John of Toronto,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

It is our understanding from your post that you are being prompted to download fonts for Numbers and Pages but then are unable to download them. We recommend testing the issue while your Mac is in safe mode and/or in a new user account. The following articles have the steps you will need to test the issue in both safe mode and in a new user account:

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support

"Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed."

How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support

"If an issue stops happening when you log out of your macOS user account and log in with another, the issue could be related to the files or settings in your user account."

Best Regards.

Thanks chris_g1 for reminding me of those important diagnostic tests. I tried your suggestions. Unfortunately all the behaviours I've described persisted in both Safe Mode and in a User account created specifically for testing. I'm not sure what my next step should be.

At the end of my post I explained how I originally had this problem with a few dozen fonts, but I fixed them by installing from a location on my hard drive. The four remaining fonts — LiHei Pro, etc — were not at that location or anywhere else. Yet this support page lists them as "available for download", so they must be online somewhere, but where?
