iPhone 6 says it's charging (charging symbol is on when plugged in) but it's not.

Still the phone says it's charging but it's not and the percentage shows less and less battery
How do I fix this?

May be its battery needs a replacement.
Check with apple service.

Check that any debris in the charging port. Try with other charging cable.
if the issue not solved, check with apple.
Thanks but forgot to add that this is a new battery that was offered by Apple during the replacement program, additionally battery health shows 100%
