Activation lock

I forgot the password to my apple id.I tried using the iforgot.apple.com to solve the problem but they didn't ask for no security questions.I was told to check for my notification which can't be seen because the phone is still under activation lock.WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO DO,PLEASE!!!

Regarding the activation lock I have an iphone 4s(a pretty old one owned by me)of which i forgot its apple id and password ive tried everything I remember but nothing seems to work.is there any way that i can get pass the activation lock? or at-least know what my apple id and password was? i really need an answer that works genuinely...! Thank you
