I have one device that is listed as three different devices. Should I eliminate them all and start over? Will I lose some information?

I doubt there is an account issue. You should be able to remove the listings without losing any information. Try removing all 3. Then on the device, sign out of iCloud, restart the device, and sign back in to see if it will list correctly.
