After I backed up all photos on my iphone 8plus to icloud, if I delete the 8plus backup from my SE to save up icloud storage will I lose my photos in icloud? (8plus and SE are using the same account, but I didnt turn on icloud backup for photos yet)

so once i turn on my photo backup on SE, it will backup new photos to icloud whilst other photos still remain in my icloud?
