emails from my @me.com account will not send

Recently started having issues with @me.com email account on my Mac laptop. I can send emails with no problem from my iphone but will not send from my laptop. When I create and try to send an email it does not send. At first a regular email would send but if I have an attachment in the email it would not send. Last night in trying to send some test emails I noticed that they are now going into my draft email folder.
