Partially downloaded Catalina file

So lately I've been trying to update to Catalina from Mojave (kinda late ik). However, due to unstable connection, the download was cancelled at different stages multiple times. Even so, i observed that it was consuming space as the size of "System" was increasing. But I'm unable to locate those partially downloaded files as I want to get rid of them. Can anyone help me out with this?

Two places to look, try your Applications folder for Install macOS Catalina.app if you find it move it to the Trash.

Empty the Trash. Or look in your /Library/Updates folder for any folders that are named using three numbers

separated by five numbers, i.e. 061-345621. if you find a folder like that move it to the Trash. Empty the Trash.

When trying to upgrade your OS it is better to use a cabled connection to your router. Also do not use the mac

while it is downloading or any other devices that share the same internet connection.

Hello chiraggv.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We see that you need help with locating some partially downloaded macOS file so you can delete them. We will be glad to assist.

You'll find the download files in Finder > Applications folder, if downloaded from the Mac App Store. The Downloads folder has downloads when using Safari.

You can drag them to the Trash. You may be asked to enter your Administrator password.

Thanks for replying. I was unable to find Install macOS Catalina in the Applications folder. However, I did find a folder named using 3 numbers separated by 5. But the contents of that folder don't justify the storage consumed by System after all the cancelled downloads as they're ~500 MB in size whereas I'm pretty sure the cancelled downloads consumed way more.
