How to choose a compatible charger?

Hello, there!

I've got a Macbook Pro A1398 and my charger (Model A1424) got damaged and I'm looking for a replacement on eBay.

I can't figure out why there are different versions of MagSafe 2 85W. Mine is with Output: 20V.

And the ones I found are with output of 16.5V and 18.5V. Will these ones be compatible with my Macbook?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.14

Hello ChernobylGuy,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! Replacing your Mac's cable and power adapter with the correct one is very important and we're happy to help out.

First, you'll want to verify which MacBook Pro you have from this article: Identify your MacBook Pro model

Then, this article will help you to identify which type of cable and adapter you need to get: Find the right power adapter and cable for your Mac notebook

Please note that you'll only want to purchase genuine Apple certified products.

Take care!
