Anker Keyboard Not Working on iPad

I saw a 2017 post that talks about this very issue that I'm having right now. Some of the keys don't work, like the LETTERS. Other keys work, like ON and LOCK and all of the keys at the top, namely, Esc, brightness up, brightness down, search, iPad keyboard, back, pause/play, forward, Mute, volume up, volume down. The answer that was marked as helpful in the 2017 post was to change Keyboard settings from Automatic to U. S. Since my keyboard setting was already set to U.S., I changed to Automatic.

Adjusting the keyboard setting works either way. It's unfortunate that this glitch persists today in June 2020, while Apple has known about it since 2017. It appears that that's how they roll, unfortunately.

Perhaps your expectation that Apple has somehow the ability to ensure its products work perfectly with every 3rd party product one can buy is a bit unrealistic. Just sayin. I'm going to say again, that there have been recent threads about the Logitech (I don't even recall anyone asking about an Anker keyboard, tbh), and the solution to adjust the keyboard settings as I mentioned, solved the issue for them.

If that doesn't work, then it's still advisable to reach out to the manufacturers of the keyboards as Apple wouldn't be able to offer any guidance on products they don't make.

Okay. Same problem with Logi. See, I use both. If one fails, the other fails. So, maybe you propose that I suggest that Logi and Anker get together to see what they're doing to foul up the iPad. I don't think so. I think it is a problem with iPad. Apple doesn't own me and has nothing to do with my products. Maybe I need to get help from Microsoft.

I believe the latest response above misses the mark.

I'm glad you've so technical competent. I have no clue what your post has to do with your issue? I've had several Bluetooth Keyboards along the way with my most current iPad Pro 11 (2018). None have had any issues with keys or functions not working. I am currently using the newest Apple Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro and have my expensive Brydge Pro keyboard up for sale, but it too has no issues in any way working with iPad.

And I'm honestly telling you there are threads on this here on this very forum, where people were advised to change the keyboard settings like I recommended. But you don't have to even try. You can be unhappy with a keyboard which doesn't work to your satisfaction.
