iPad external keyboard some keys not working

Some of the keys stop working on my iPad keyboard at times, it’s a logitech slim combo for the iPad 6th gen.

I’ve had this issue since the day I got the keyboard and it’s never really made sense to me. the A key, space bar, C, F, the letter 8, 1, probably a lot of others just randomly stop working then randomly start working. I’ve tried all the fixes I’ve seen people suggest about this issue, I’ve tried changing the keyboard from automatic to US, tried checking to see if there was anything I could find in the accessibility keyboard settings, I’m honestly at my wits end with this one, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi rainioss,

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities.

It sounds like you're having problems with the Logitech Slim Combo case for iPad and we're happy to help! If you haven't already we recommend you follow the steps below and check to see if the problem is still there after each one:

  1. Back up iPad and Update iPadOS
  2. Restart your iPad
  3. Turn Bluetooth off and on
  4. Unpair the keyboard and connect the keyboard again: Pair a third-party Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps.

Take care.
