3 horizontal lines top left screen of iPhone

Those three horizontal lines are on the top left section of the iPhone screen? They do not run all the way across the screen?

Can you take a picture of that screen with the three lines and post it here? (You will need to take that picture with another phone because those lines may not show up in a screenshot.)
