this is a known issue told to me by APPLE. Other users have reported it.

the work around is to restart, open up AUDIOMIDI app and then open GB.

this works. it has nothing to do with M-AUDIO because the keyboard controller will work with this work around.

something is wrong with APPLEs software and im told by APPLE they will fix it when they fix it

The Keyboard 49 is CLASS COMPLIANT with MAC OS MOJAVE!

Hi, glosackmd.

Thank you for reaching out on the Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're able to use the M-AUDIO accessory with Logic Pro X but not with GarageBand any longer. You mentioned that you didn't think a driver is needed for macOS Mojave 10.14.6. Have you had a chance to reach out to M-AUDIO for support? We looked at the M-Audio Drivers page, and we're showing the alert that "There are currently no drivers available or this product and operating system." We suggest reaching out to support to inquire about compatibility.

You can find them here: M-Audio

Cheers.
