Macbook Air charging cord turning yellow.

This is the second macbook air charging cord that has begun to turn yellow after a few years. In both situations the cord came with the computer; not second hand purchases or a replacement. My battery was just replaced and I'm wondering if the cord needs to be replaced also. Is this a cosmetic issue or something that affecting my computer or battery life. As I just replaced the battery I don't want the cord to cause issues. I see multiple conversations online with pictures of yellow cords that look just like mine so I know it's not an issue with my computers.

It's merely a cosmetic concern. The discoloration occurs from prolonged exposed to sunlight, or any ultraviolet light source for that matter.
