APPLE ID SIGNING OUT TAKING TOO LONG

need to urgently sign out of current apple id due to company liquidating due to covid and its been more than 24h and the sign out still spinning . I have another apple id which i want to sign in with. i went to system preferences - then clicked "over view" and then sign out, then keep a copy and nothing

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Can't Sign Out! Hi, I can't sign out of my Apple ID. If I go to System Preferences, Apple ID, Overview, and at the foot hit the sign out button all it does is attempt to sign out but doesn't. Why is it doing this?

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Have you tried restarting to see if you are signed out or to try to sign out again?

Can you sign out while booted into the Safe Mode?
