How to have the same set-up mirrored on my iphone and ipad

Hi,

I have just purchased an iPad Pro 4th gen and I want to have the exact same set-up as my iPhone 11. The apps have transferred across from iCloud but they are all over the place instead of the files created on my iPhone. When I upgraded my iPhone this was done automatically and I was hoping it would be the same with the iPad Pro. Ultimately I want the iPad to completely mirror my iPhone and synchronize with each other.

I have trued searching and all I can seem to find mirror to watch something on TV.

I hope somebody can help.

You could have set up the iPad from the backup of the iPhone. You wipe the iPad back to new and do the setup over. See this link for directions --> Transfer data from your previous iOS device to your new iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Your personal data and essential system settings should be duplicated. Apps that are available for both the donor and recipient device should be automatically restored to the recipient device.

However, as your iPhone and iPad are entirely different form-factors, it’s inevitable that you’ll find differences in App layout and grouping.

Restore from iCloud backup is the option you want, ASSUMING you have backed up your iPhone to iCloud.

I was hoping that the app groups / folders could remain the same. If working from two devices both being Apple I would have expected you could have the choice. I suspect the only way is to manually drag and drop the apps to create the same look as the iPhone.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I tried this but it only gives me 4 options, even though my phone linked with the iPad:-

Restore from iCloud Backup
Restore from Mac or PC
Move Data from Android
Don't Transfer Apps & Data

The only option is to Restore from iCloud Backup which is no good.

Is there anything else I should try?
