From my United Kingdom Apple Music account is there any way in which I can access content from another country - New Zealand in this case? Albums on that site that I would like to play that are not on the UK version.

Apple Music is managed country by country. You would need to establish all of your Apple ID dat, including local address, iTunes store and method of payment.
Not Apple's "fault" either. Digital Rights management is completely out of their control despite the influence they may have.
