Had to reactivate my iPad and when I was at the Home screen, trying to move to the right or left - had several icons previously, all of a sudden I am faced with several "stickers" that take a third of the screen: one of them is weather, the upper is "Up Next" and the third is the icons on the Dock.
How do I get rid of these "stickers?"

You can disable Widgets on iPad’s Home Screen by scrolling down to the bottom of the list of widgets > Edit > Toggle “Keep on Home Screen” to off. You could also manage this setting in Settings > Home Screen.

The section you are referring to, scroll down to the very bottom of that list. This is where the Edit button is.
I am sorry. I have no idea what widgets are on the iPad and where to can find them. The Home Screen just give me a choice of making the icons larger or smaller. Right now that "dash board" had the recent News. I turned it off and I am back with the same three labels: weather, "up next" and "Siri apps suggestions."
