I want to use an external microphone AUDIO-TECHNICA AT2020USB+ with my iPad Pro 2020. I plugged it in to the iPad using a USB-to-USB-C adapter. The microphone draws power from the iPad (the mic's blue light comes on) but the iPad does NOT use the mic for input. Is there a way to get the mic working with my iPad?

The external mic is working now with the iPad. The audio quality gets much better when I use a hub, rather than the little adapter I was using previously i.e. connect the mic's USB output to the hub, and the hub to the USB-C input on the iPad.
