how to upgrade/downgrade to a particular iOS version?

Hi,

I have 2 iPhone devices. One with iOS version 12.4 and other one with iOS version 13.5.1(latest version). So facing some internal issue while debugging on these devices. Everything is working fine on iOS 13.3.1.

Ask:

  1. Is there any way I can downgrade iOS version from 13.5.1 to 13.3.1.

  1. Or, is there any way to Upgrade iOS version from 12.4 to 13.3.1. Note: I don’t want to go to latest version.

Thanks

This is a well written question(s) however the answers are not going to be favorable.

  1. You will not be able to downgrade from iOS 13.5.1 . You cannot downgrade from any iOS version for that matter.
  2. Your will not be able to update from iOS version 12.4 to 13.3.1 This is because iOS 13.3.1 will not be offered for you to download via the Apple servers. It will be iOS 13.5.1.

Why not update your iPhone, in point 2 above, to iOS 13.5.1 because this one has not been on iOS 13.5.1 and things may work out well for it.

Thanks for your response Axel.

I am trying to do debugging on device and current version of Xcode we are using for development is 11.4.1.

When I am trying to debug using “Xcode 11.4.1 + iOS 13.5.1”, non of the processes appearing into “Attach To Process” list.

In addition to that, I am getting a message like below under “Device and Simulators” section

>> “ This current device configuration is unsupported. This iPhone 6S is running iOS 13.5.1, which is not supported by Xcode 11.4.1”

Thanks

Xcode 11.4.1 was released in April 2020 I believe. iOS 13.5.1.... I believe in Late May 2020? Not sure whether there is a mismatch there however I am unable to reproduce your results because I do not have the iPhone and iOS version combination that you are using.

My recommendation to you is to contact the official Apple Support here ➔ Contacting Apple for support and service including international calling numbers.
