Yar,

You can use the USB-C connector. See tips specifically for the iPad Pro in this guide:

Charge and connect with the USB-C port on iPad Pro – Apple Support


When you connect to the MacBook, the iPad should appear as an icon in Finder (if you are using the latest macOS, Catalina) or in iTunes (if you are using an older version). If it simply doesn't show up, follow the steps in here:
