External Monitor 3 blinks when connected to MacBook Pro 16 inch via USB-C

Whenever I connect my external monitor via USB-C to Display Port on my 2019 MacBook Pro 16 inch, I get three blinks on the MacBook display and the external display. I've had MacBooks for 15 years and never had this sort of problem when connecting to an external display. Is there a fix?

External monitor not working macbook pro Hi guys! Looking for some help with an external monitor issue. I have a 13" 2018 MacBook pro, all up-to-date, and I've been having persistant issues in getting my second monitor to work with my laptop. I'm trying to connect it to a ASUS VP28UQGL 4K Ultra HD 28" TN LCD monitor with a HDMI>USBC adaptor, but whenever I do it keeps randomly blinking off. It's like the whole thing thinks it becomes disconnected, reboots (while my MacBook also readjusts its layout) and then starts again. The screen works fine with other devices so I'm a little stuck!

External monitor flickering Laptop: MacBook Pro 15" 2019 OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.7 External monitor: Dell U4919DW My external monitor flickers when I connect it to my MacBook Pro. I have tested both its USB-C input and DisplayPort input. Is this a known issue? Is there a definitive fix available for it? Thanks.
