Service centre guy asked to turn off find my iphone

Just gave my phone for screen replacement. Service centre guy asked to turn off find my iphone and remove lock password. Is that normal?

The service centre person is correct that you need to turn off Find My iPhone: Get your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch ready for service


I also believe that removing the passcode is right as well, as the service centre person hasn't asked you for it.
