Ipad not finding tv fir screen mirroring

Question

I've got apple TV turned on, selected screen mirroring on iPad. IPad isn't finding tv. The I pad is 4 feet from TV. What do I do?

What model Apple TV do you have?

What version of tvOS is it running?

If you use the remote, can you launch the Settings app on the Apple TV and verify that it is on the same wifi network?
