There was a thread last year about this but it was unresolved, and locked with over 50 folks still having the problem.
I installed a linux server today using Terminal and SSH. Perhaps my local system saw the remote server as a second hard drive hierarchy and got confused and added a 2nd icon?

So delete it, or turn off the preferences in Finder, or simply ignore it.
What is the complication here?

Thanks bro. I think I'll hold out for a community answer. Kind of like the process of trouble shooting with the guys. Plus it will live forever in the thread for posterity as well. Assuming it's ever solved :)
