AirPods Pro LOUD noise when speaking

I experience an extremely loud noise when I'm on phone calls, usually outside. (Outside you have to raise your voice to speak over cars and street noise).

I have replaced a set of AirPods before, then the right AirPod, and now the issue is coming from my left AirPod.

I assume the issue is coming from the black microphone used for noise cancellation, or it could just be the code freaks out at high DB as when you're speaking loudly it responds with a TERRIBLE DEAFENING noise.

What do I do next? I love the headphones but also cannot stand having to see the Genius Bar every 2 months with a new issue.

I also don't want to be stuck with dud headphones once the warrantee expires.

Not to forget:

  • 80% of the time I open the case it doesn't pop up to show charge value
  • every time I put the headphones in and out my ear I hear a terrible static

Hello,

See this:

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference

Note: the charge level pop-up is hit-or-miss. A more reliable method is the use the BATTERIES widget on the Daily View screen (swipe right from the first Home screen).

Good luck.
