Apple Card Monthly Installment Not Available on Educational Site

I have confirmed with 3+ different sales and chat agents that monthly installments are available from the Apple educational site. However, when checking out using my Apple card, the only option is to pay in full. I've been told for the last 2 weeks that this is a known issue by Apple, however, no one can provide information on when it will be fixed or what can be done to purchase an iPad from the edu site on monthly installments. Totally frustrating and no one at Apple knows what to do except to tell me to update my iPhone (done), restart (many times), clear cookies and data (many times), and wait 24-48 hours and try again (done many times). There is a promotion right now for free Airpods with iPad or iMac educational purchase. Has anybody had any luck purchasing from the educational site and get the monthly installment option?

I discovered on my own that you must have “Check for Apple Pay” selected on Safari settings for the installment option to show, from both Apple.com and the Education store.

I am not sure anyone has been able to use discounted prices (educational/veteran/military) in conjunction with the monthly installments. I cannot find any information about it being included or excluded on Apple's website so far but I am still looking.

Thanks. I’ve called the 800 number many times and no one is able to help. Every agent has confirmed the monthly installment option is valid for the educational site. There’s even a hyperlink right before checkout that explains the installment and 3% cash back terms.

Each time I call I’m told Apple knows about it and to try again in 24-48 hours. It’s been a couple weeks now. I’m trying to order a grad gift for my daughter before she leaves for college and the shipping dates are now into August.

I get put into queue after queue having to re-explain my scenario and run into a dead end every time.
