I have just updated to an iPhone 11

I’ve updated my phone this week and this morning my ipad has locked out and says activation lock I’ve added my Apple ID and the new password but will not log back into my ipad can anyone help

If necessary, if you are the original owner, contact Apple. Apple can remove the Activation Lock if provided the required paperwork. Either take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store (if it has reopened)
