iPhone 7 Plus Software problem

My phone isn't allowing me to hear calls, I can't send any voice recordings or anything. I've been told it's a software problem and Apple does this because they want you to switch phones, (buy the latest iPhone) I have an iPhone 7 Plus. I cannot afford to buy a brand new iPhone nor can I afford to pay for it to get fixed. I hear Apple was sued from another Apple user for this same issue.

We can’t discuss lawsuits here. It is probably not a software error, it is most like a loose Audio IC. You can click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page to do an out-of-warranty replacement, the cost is $349 USD. You can also find a competent 3rd party repair site that can do microsoldering and they may be able to repair it for around $145 USD. If you go this router Apple may refuse future dealings with your iPhone.

If your iPhone is in otherwise good shape you can trade it in and get $150 USD towards a new iPhone.
