You need to turn off "confirm with assistive touch"
Step 1 go to the settings tap Accessibility
Step 2 then tap Touch then you can see AssistiveTouch
Step 3 Open AssistiveTouch then scroll down at last you can see Confirm with AssistiveTouch
Step 4 Turn it off that’s solve
too turn this off you go to settings>accessibility>touch and at the very top there’s assistive touch click there then scroll all the way down and turn off “confirm with assistive touch” and something will pop up saying if you want to use the side button instead and you just confirm.
If you want to keep the ability to confirm using Face ID, there’s still a simple way around this. I do wish it were as easy as before which just required your Face ID confirmation, but since the update (that I went the entire time without up until yesterday when getting an iPhone 13), I believe it’s the only way you can use Face ID confirmation when purchasing in App Store. If I’m wrong, I’d really appreciate if someone tell me how I can still approve purchases in App Store using Face ID (obviously after confirming my iCloud password the first time) without having to go through these excessive steps in Assistive Touch. But for now, here’s the work around.
• Triple click your side button and it will bring up Assistive Touch.
• Then you choose Device > More > Apple Pay > Face ID confirm pay.
• Lastly, triple click side button once again to remove Assistive Touch menu from your screen, unless you want it there.
You can always bring it back up again by triple clicking your side button. ^-^
Ever since I changed over from Android and become familiar with IOS 15, I realise that it has a number of bugs. Menus are often unintuitive and generally the IPhone 15 is very disappointing. Like thousands of others I have the same problem with downloading apps from the app store Why can't Apple design a bug fix rather than having to go in and switch off two switches in Assistive Touch which I have never used. Can anyone advise when this function will be properly working again?
I cannot download or buy apps on iPhone 12 with my side click and face i.d. Assitive touch interrupts my whole operation and I hate it. I don't even know how it got on my iphone. I want it off, please. I want to buy with Face ID, and double click my side bar. I'm so frustrated. I've looked up on the internet and have gone to Accessibility and done all that I could find to do. Nothing seems to work. The accessibility seems to run my battery down very fast and that's a major problem for me. Thanking you in advance.

Go to settings then go to assessability, then look for AssistiveTouch press on that go to the bottom of the AssistiveTouch tab and turn off confirm with AssistiveTouch and then you should be good to go.
I’ve done the suggested items but I can’t seem to get it to work. If I turn off the Assistive Touch I get this box cursor that I can’t get rid off and still will not be able to use the Face ID or side button to purchase an app. I’m so frustrated that I’m ready to go back to Android where it’s much simpler and user friendly.
a
Utterly F%$king worthless. It tells me how to turn it on and so forth but not how to make a purchase or address this problem!
it won’t let me download a app bc it says confirm assistive touch
I don’t understand what it means to confirm with assistive touch when purchasing an app.
Tap on your assistive touch>devices >more>Apple Pay
It works thanks 😉
Thanks for your reply.
But not sure how this option have turned on
Do what rajeep67 said & should fix it. It did mine.
I think the new update turned it on.
