Bluetooth on my mac OS Catalina can't find my xbox one controller. How do you make bluetooth see the controller?

I read that mac OS can now wirelessly use an Xbox One controller. I tried to follow the directions. But Bluetooth can't see my controller. I pressed the sync button on my controller. Is there some trick to get Catalina to see the controller in bluetooth?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

You need to have the newer controller that comes with xbox one s. It doesn't work even when connected apple messed upp the button mapping. really annoying works great on IOS though.

I know nothing about the controller. I suggest you contact the third party device manufacturer for help.
